Upcoming Event: Invasive Species Identification and Reporting Workshop
Led by John Thompson, Director of the Catskill Center ’s CRISP program, this free interactive session will introduce you to key invasive species and how to use the iMapInvasives mobile app to report sightings and monitor spread. Wildfire Risks & Mitigation Project
It is no surprise with the changes that we are witnessing and experiencing driven by climate change, that wildfire risks are becoming more of an issue across New York State. We are excited to share some new updates to our Learning Library, which include a list of Open Source, interactive tools ranging in topics from Forestry, Agriculture, and both Human and Ecosystem Health. Panther Creek Community Presentation
On May 18th, the Waterfall Center held a presentation to kick off a project specifically along and with the community of the Panther Creekshed. This first session began with a presentation by Nate Hudson, a resident along Panther Creek and an invasive species and forestry expert. First Community Listening Session
On March 7 we held out first community Listen & Learn session at The Waterfall House in West Fulton. In attendance was an inspiring array of community members, spanning across agriculture, faith, conservation, economic, public health, local business and cultural sectors.
