The Waterfall Center - Equinox Activation Gathering

Updated: Jul 23

The Waterfall Center for Bioregional Learning was officially activated during an inspiring and moving ceremony offered by our board member, and Havasupai-Hopi-Tewa elder, Mona Polacca on the Autumn Equinox. This intimate gathering was an opportunity to set our intentions for our work, begin weaving the threads of community and to share our vision for what bioregionalism can look like in the Schoharie Valley.

We were excited to share some of the beautiful bioregional maps that were created for us by Doug Toulchin of Sanctuary.earth - which were a hit among attendees.

We were also happy and honored to have Kaneretiio Roger Jock with us to celebrate and offer some Longhouse teachings to attendees as well.

This gathering was a truly beautiful and inspiring start to our work and purpose here at the Center, and not only activated the center itself, but the fire within each of us to bring this collective vision of a bioregion to fruition - for all life in Skóhare (Schoharie Valley).
