First Community Listening Session

Updated: Jul 23

ree

On March 7 we held out first community Listen & Learn session at The Waterfall House in West Fulton. In attendance was an inspiring array of community members, spanning across agriculture, faith, conservation, economic, public health, local business and cultural sectors.

The afternoon kicked off with an introduction of The Waterfall Center for Bioregional Learning with board members Bethany Yarrow and Janet Hawkes. Following participant introductions, attendees got to work through a large group share as well as breakout sessions - sharing their thoughts on what the strengths and needs are of the bioregion, and envisioning a future for the valley.

This session gave us an opportunity to learn more about the concerns of the community, ideas of what types of programs and opportunities to focus on, what gaps we can help to fill, and identifying partners within the community - to create a strong network to support each other's vital work in the bioregion.

If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to read this meeting note summary. If you would like to get involved in the work of the Center and participate in our Listening & Learning sessions, please sign up to our mailing list.
